At BITC’s North West Awards Event on 14 June at Lancashire County Cricket Club Fiona Gibson, Managing Director of Accenture North West, was announced as Regional Ambassador for HRH The Prince of Wales in recognition of her leadership and commitment to responsible business in the region.
Accenture is supporting Business in the Community’s Business Connector programme, as part of its Skills to Succeed initiative which aims to equip 250,000 people around the world with the skills to get a job or build a business by 2015.
Business Connectors are a powerful network of secondments recruited from business and supported and trained by Business in the Community to tackle social issues in local neighbourhood areas and in doing so, create a powerful new development experience for talented business people. The Business Connectors programme aims to increase the positive impact of business in local communities by harnessing expertise from business to tackle local needs.
