What do I do on a regular basis?

Hi and Happy New Year!

I’m Tara Hoss, a technical recruiter for Accenture. Since I love working at Accenture it makes it easy to talk to people about career options with the company. Recently I have taken on a role to increase recruiting activity within Accenture’s Information Management Systems group – very exciting - in addition to my work with positions for Accenture’s Custom Solutions Architecture group. With the recruiting plan larger than last years plan I have been working on strategy and interviewing a high volume of people with my team to meet the needs of my internal customer.

Have you ever wondered what Accenture recruiters actually do on a daily basis? Well, for me right now it means managing (with my team) about 22 different types of positions for these groups. We’re working away to source and interview people. Our challenge currently is balancing interviews with individual schedules…of both interviewees and interviewers as the holiday season comes to an end! With planned in-person interview days planned almost every week I will always have some project to work on.

Have a question about Accenture? I will do my best to answer. I look forward to hearing from you in 2007! Tara

Hi Tara, I am seeking entry level opportunities in SAP MM area. Applied online to "Entry Level Consulting Analyst - Cleveland, OH (07/08) – 00013635" this morning. Would you be so kind to help me understand how I can follow-up with this requirement? Thank you very much.

I was also wondering about the job posting and processes in looking at individuals. Some posting appear to have been on the site for a long period of time. I would also like to know about how to follow up on a position I applied for. thanks Cory

Ms. Hoss, I am submitting my resume to the Accenture website and I would like to know where I can find the appropriate person's name to address my cover letter to. Thank you very much and I hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Tara, I recently applied for an entry- level consulting analyst position in the Milwaukee office. I would like to know what the best way is to follow up on the position to see if any decisions have been made and if anyone has looked over my resume? I did not attend a University were I had contact with a recruiter so I am working somehwat at an angle. I have tried to call the Milwaukee office to get in touch with the recruiter for this position and have been unsuccesful, no one seems to know who it is. I am still very interested in this position what would you recommend? Thank You Casey

Hi Tara. What networking techniques would you recommend experienced hire candidates to utilize in gaining exposure amongst Accenture hiring managers and recruiters?

Good morning Tara. What is the best way to get in touch with regional recruiters in Florida? Any insight on planned recruiting events and activities not mentioned by Accenture or the university career planning departments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Eric Tysen Tampa, FL
