De Jury

De onafhankelijke vakjury maakt tijdens het Innovation Event in november 2011 bekend wie de winnaars zijn van de Financial Services concepten. Vanzelfsprekend zijn de juryleden goed thuis in financieel en innoverend Nederland.

Dat brengt met zich mee dat juryleden belangen zouden kunnen hebben bij de genomineerden. Juryleden die op enigerlei wijze te maken hebben met belangenverstrengeling onthouden zich van stemming tijdens het juryoverleg.

De juryleden van 2011 stellen zich aan u voor

 

Barend van Doorn, Executive Partner FS at Accenture
Barend is Executive Partner Financial Services at Accenture Netherlands. During the 13 years at Accenture, he held various management positions. In 2007 Barend organized the first Innovation Awards for Communication, Media and High Tech. Now as Executive Partner Financial Services Barend has lent his experience and expertise to making the awards what it is today.

 

Mark Boerekamp, Executive Partner and lead FS at Accenture
Mark is Executive Partner within Financial Services and lead of the Financial Services Practice for Accenture in the Netherlands. He started his career as an auditor at PwC. He transferred to Accenture in 2000 where he fulfilled different management positions during his 11 year stay.

 

Wim Assink, Publisher & Editor in Chief at Banking Review
Wim is responsible for the development of Banking Review since July 2008. Banking Review is about sharing information on best practices and innovation in the finance industry. Next to this position, Wim is also director at Nijgh Periodieken B.V. and Corponomics B.V. In the past, Wim was active as director at DDC Europe B.V. and as an advisor on Mergers & Acquisitions.

 

Peter Bakker, IT director at Van Lanschot Bankiers
Peter is responsible for all IT activities for Van Lanschot Bankiers; demand management, application development and IT operations. Peter worked in several other general management IT functions at ProRail, Nutreco, ING and ANP.

 

Remko Eddes, Country Head at UBS the Netherlands
Remko is Managing Director and Country Head at UBS, the Netherlands. He is responsible for the origination and execution of mergers and acquisitions and capital market transactions (debt and equity) within UBS Investment Bank. Financial institutions like banks, insurance companies and pension funds are among his main clients.

 

Michael Koutstaal, Director Sales & Service Direct and member of the Board of ING Domestic Bank Netherlands
Michael started his career in 1994 within ING with various jobs in channel management at Postbank. After working on ING's retail strategy in Europe, in 2003, he was appointed member of the board of the ING Intermediary division, responsible for the marketing of Nationale Nederlanden. Later he became the CEO of Interadvies, consisting of WestlandUtrecht Bank, Regiobank and Nationale Nederlanden Bank. In his current responsibility he focuses on the development and management of the direct channels of ING Domestic Bank Netherlands.

 

Timo van Voorden, board member at Avéro Achmea
Timo is board member at Avéro Achmea and holds several board positions in Romania, among others at Insurance Interamerican Romania and at a Romanian hospital. He began his career as a controller at Centraal Beheer. Later he would hold several management positions within the Insurance industry as well as within a Portuguese bank.

 

Theodor Kockelkoren, board member at AFM
After a study at the Eindhoven University of Technology and working with McKinsey & Company for 7 years, Theodor joined the AFM in 2002 as head of the strategy and policy departments. After first being appointed managing director in 2004 he joined the board of the AFM in 2008.

 

Paul Harms, former E-VP at Athlon Car Lease International
After spending almost 20 years in the car lease sector, Paul is now enjoying a well deserved sabbatical. He started and co-owned car lease companies in 6 different countries before becoming part of Athlon Car lease where he stayed for almost 6 years, first as management director and later as executive vice-president of Athlon Car Lease International and CEO of Athlon Car Lease Netherlands, a subsidiary of De Lage Landen International, 100% owned by the Rabobank.

 

Leonique van Houwelingen, Country Executive at BNY Mellon
Leonique joined BNY Mellon in 2003 as head of legal, risk and compliance for the EMEA- region within the asset servicing business. In 2006, she took over as head of relationship management for Continental European clients. Next to this position, she also became country executive for the Netherlands and branch manager for the Dutch branch in 2009. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Leonique worked for eight years in various roles within ABN Amro, varying from legal counsel to advisor within trade finance and manager of fixed income transaction management.

 

Saul van Beurden, CIO Banking Direct & International at ING Group
Saul started at ING Group in 2003 as program manager and moved up the ranks quickly. He was asked by ING Group CIO Steve van Wyk to head the Transformation Program for Ops7IT Banking in 2008. He fulfilled several IT related management positions and is currently responsible for all international Operations and IT activities of ING Direct, Retail Banking and Commercial Banking network.

 

Peter Verhaar, Independent Financial blogger
Peter can rely on more than three decades of experience in banking at, amongst others, ABN Amro and Rabobank. In 1994 he founded VEB Bottom-Line, the first low-cost broker in the Netherlands. In 1999 he co-founded Alex Beleggersbank which was sold by Rabobank to competitor Binckbank in 2008. Currently he is an independent blogger writing financial blogs for i.e. GeenStijl.

 

Maarten Edixhoven, General manager at Zwitserleven
After holding several management positions at ING Group, such as Marketing director and managing director of Nationale Nederlanden, Maarten transferred to the management committee of SNS Reaal to become the general manager of Zwitserleven.

 

Arno IJssels, Director Marketing & Direct Channels at ABN AMRO Bank N.V.
Spend over two decades working at Fortis Netherlands, where he started as trainee. He had a flourishing career particularly in the commercial area fulfilling, amongst others, positions from Area Manager till General Manager of Retail Banking. Due to the integration with ABN AMRO, he then became the Director Direct Channels and member of the Management Team 'Particulieren'. Later on his position within ABN AMRO was broadened to Director Marketing and Direct Channels.

 

Pim Mol, Head of Private Banking at Rabobank
After graduating as a macro economist at the VU University Amsterdam, Pim started his career in 1987 with the economic buro of Pierson, Heldring & Pierson, later Fortis MeesPierson. After various research positions in Amsterdam and Paris he became managing director of MeesPierson Securities Asia in 1991. From 2002 to 2008 he was a member of the Global Management Board of Fortis Private Banking, being first responsible for all on-shore offices and later for all products and services worldwide. In July 2008 he joined Rabobank Nederland as Head of Private Banking.

 

Hans Akkermans, professor Business Informatics at VU University Amsterdam
Hans is a full professor of Business Informatics at VU University Amsterdam. He is the founder and general director of 'The Network Institute', a new interdisciplinary and multifaculty research institute. He has published over 170 scientific articles on information systems, physics, engineering, and e-business. He is a key developer of the "e3value" methodology and ontology library for networked e-business models and e-services. He is also a regular reviewer and evaluator for the European Commission. He received a European innovation award for his work twice.

 

De Jury

Dat brengt met zich mee dat juryleden belangen zouden kunnen hebben bij de genomineerden. Juryleden die op enigerlei wijze te maken hebben met belangenverstrengeling onthouden zich van stemming tijdens het juryoverleg.
