An example is how we helped a major oil company optimize service delivery by establishing a world-class approach to shared services. The company worked with Accenture to transform human resources, finance, procurement, information technology and facilities management. Accenture assembled a global team of consultants from more than 10 countries. We worked with the oil company to define and standardize services. The newly established global shared services center is generating a 15 percent reduction in costs. In addition, the shared services approach is giving the company truly a global business service support.
