Accenture was a key sponsor and main participant in SAPPHIRE 2009, SAP’s premier annual event for experience exchange and for exploring innovative SAP-based business and technical solutions and strategies. Nearly 10,000 global attendees, representing approximately 40 industries participated in SAPPHIRE Orlando 2009.

This year, the focus was on what it takes to be successful in the current global economy. Through presentations, demos, panel discussions and peer interaction, the twin imperatives of facing up to a more complex business world than ever while simultaneously demonstrating the openness and transparency that business nowadays requires were explored.

Accenture had its SAP subject matter experts on hand to share the experience delivering solutions to more than 1300 clients in 2008. With 7 Accenture and client case study presentations in the main agenda, 16 “hot topic” presentations at the Accenture booth, 7 “special interest” client workshops, an expert representation at various SAP industry village pods, as well as linking up in client meetings and 8 Accenture sponsored hospitality events, representatives of our 26,500-strong SAP team provided their insights into how to master a challenging and changing market by maximizing business value and enhancing performance, agility and insight.

Preceding the conference, Accenture was also awarded 4 more SAP Pinnacle Awards bringing the total won to date to 18 and reinforcing its global position as SAP’s leading partner for the third consecutive year.
