The Accenture team was responsible for the technical definition of business services to be offered through the portal, by creation of the underlying framework, and the configuration, development, testing and delivery to employee desktops around the world. The work would have to be done concurrently with the transition to SAP R/3 and could not interfere or impede that upgrade and rollout. SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP Business Warehouse are components of SAP NetWeaver, SAP's application and integration platform lying beneath all future SAP applications.
