London Stock Exchange: Exchange and Infrastructure Services | | | | | | | Summary | | The London Stock Exchange (LSE) is the world's third largest and Europe's biggest stock market, listing more than 2,700 stocks, depository receipts, warrants and Eurobonds. Market regulation is one of the most important activities performed by the LSE and is fundamental to the United Kingdom's international reputation for fair dealing and high standards. Thus, the LSE has resources dedicated to developing, monitoring and enforcing the rules that affect market makers and brokers in the domestic and international securities markets. One key resource is the LSE's Regulatory News Service, which disseminates regulatory and price-sensitive information issued by companies listed on the Exchange to all market participants. The Regulatory News Service provides a single point of contact for companies to meet their disclosure obligations, supports continuous trading and provides dissemination to companies' key target audiences. The LSE turned to Accenture, its partner for more than 10 years, to create a new Regulatory News Service that would capitalize on Internet-based technologies and rectify the current system's problems. The new system had to be highly secure and capable of disseminating information quickly and fairly. Next: How We Helped |
| | | How We Helped | Working with the LSE, Accenture designed and executed a new strategy to deliver information to the market swiftly and securely. Accenture leveraged its e-Commerce and project management expertise to deliver high-quality and effective applications. The result: the new system is secure, capable of approving and disseminating new submissions quickly and fairly and is user-friendly to a variety of user-groups. The new Regulatory News Service features two Internet sites for regulatory announcement information: one site for announcement submissions and another for announcement publishing. The submissions site preserves the RNS' original formatting, but the browser-based system makes the process user-friendly. The publishing site makes all company news available to the retail market at large, and also to news services such as Reuters and Dow Jones. Next: High Performance Delivered |
