Analyst research firm Forrester recently undertook a review of the North American applications outsourcing market. In two complimentary reports, published by William Martorelli, Forrester concluded that while service providers in this space offer adequate services, they must do more to meet customer demand for value and innovation. The report places Accenture within the Leaders wave of this highly competitive marketplace characterized overall by satisfied clients. Forrester also examines Accenture's overall showing in the applications outsourcing study. Accenture's position among the leaders is underscored by the fact that it received the highest overall client reference scores among the surveyed companies. Another highlight - many view Accenture as being interested in only the largest transactions, but it has a surprising number of smaller deals sold out if its direct sales channel.
