Accenture Awards and Honors | | | Below is a sampling of awards and honors granted to Accenture from 2003 to 2005:
- Fortune Magazine's "America's Most Admired Companies" (2005): For the second consecutive year, Accenture has been ranked No. 1 in the "Computer & Data Services" industry category in Fortune magazine's list of America's Most Admired Companies. Companies are ranked on eight key reputation attributes: innovation, social responsibility, employee talent, management, investment value, use of assets, financial soundness and products/services. Accenture ranked first in its industry group in all eight attribute categories.
- Fortune Global 500 (2005): For the fourth consecutive year, Accenture has been named to the Fortune Global 500. The ranking, which is based solely on revenue, places Accenture at number 455—up five places from last year. In the "Computer Services and Software" category, Accenture maintained its 2004 ranking at No. 4.
- Annex Research's top-performing global technology services company (2005): In a ranking by Annex Research—a market intelligence and computer industry consulting firm—involving the world's leading seven technology services companies, Accenture took the gold medal, or first place, for overall performance. Researchers evaluated eight areas, including revenue growth, market share and sales productivity. This is the sixth time in the last 10 years that Accenture has captured the gold.
- Harvard Business Review's "breakthrough ideas" list (2005): Harvard Business Review salutes the Accenture Institute for High Performance Business for its innovative initiatives in the article, "The HBR List: Breakthrough Ideas for 2005." In its fourth year, the list is a collection of emerging ideas most likely to revolutionize how companies manage resources and assets, develop strategy and compete in today's business market.
- DiversityInc's "25 Noteworthy Companies" List (2005): Accenture has been named to DiversityInc's "25 Noteworthy Companies" list. The magazine, which focuses on the business benefits of diversity, recognizes companies annually for best practices and achievements in diversity. This is the first time Accenture has been included in the listing.
- Business Week ranked Accenture 51th most valuable global brand (2005): For the fourth consecutive year, Accenture has been named to the Business Week 100 Top Global Brands. The ranking, which identifies the leading brands according to dollar value, placed Accenture at No. 51, owing to the company's 6 percent increase in brand value over last year.
- Accenture honored with two SAP Pinnacle Awards (2005): Accenture has been honored with two global 2005 SAP Pinnacle Awards in recognition of its commitment to partnering with SAP. Recognized for its sales and marketing performance in 2004, Accenture received this year's SAP NetWeaver and Customer Relationship Management awards. First launched by SAP in 2004, the SAP Pinnacle Awards Program recognizes the technology, services and software partners who have excelled in developing their relationship with SAP by providing quality solutions and services to joint customers.
- Accenture recognized as one of the "100 companies that count" (2005): Accenture has been recognized as one of the most respected and responsible organizations in the United Kingdom in three recent surveys. For the second consecutive year, Accenture has been recognized as one of the "100 companies that count" for its commitment to responsible business practices in the Business in the Community Corporate Responsibility Index. In addition, the High Fliers 2005 Survey has ranked Accenture as the No. 1 employer of choice in the consulting sector. High Fliers Research, in association with The Times, conducted the survey, which is the largest final year student survey in the United Kingdom.
- Accenture named one of the Top 25 Companies for Enterprise Learning (2005): Accenture has been named one of the top 24 Companies for Enterprise Learning by the American Society for Training and Development as part of its second annual BEST Award competition. The society's awards committee, aided by industry experts, looks for evidence that an organization has gone beyond common measures of excellence and uses learning as a strategic business tool. The American Society for Training and Development is a leading association of workplace learning and performance professionals. Its 70,000 members and associates come from more than 100 countries and thousands of organizations.
- Gartner names Accenture leading provider of CRM consulting services (2005): For the third consecutive year, industry analyst Gartner Inc. has positioned Accenture as the leading providing of customer relationship management (CRM) consulting services in North America, in its report, Magic Quadrant for North American CRM Service Providers, 2005.
- Industry reports position Accenture as leading SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft provider (2005): Two industry analyst reports published by Gartner Inc. and IDC have positioned Accenture as both a visionary leader and a top service provider of enterprise resource planning using SAP, Oracle and PeopleSoft software. The enterprise resource planning service integrates business functions across an organization using a single software provider.
- Management Consultancy names Accenture top consulting company in the United Kingdom (2005): For the second consecutive year, Accenture has been named the No. 1 management consultancy company in the United Kingdom by Management Consultancy—a leading monthly publication covering the UK consulting industry. The publication's annual list of the "top 75 UK management consultancy firms," which ranks companies according to revenues, this year signifies a resurgence of the consulting industry.
- Working Mother magazine "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers" (2005): For the third year in a row, Working Mother magazine named Accenture to its annual list of "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers." The magazine acknowledged Accenture's new Hours That Help program, designed to give Accenture people the option of voluntarily donating unused hours of their own leave. Company-supplied laptops were noted as a tool that enables employees to expand and customize flexible work arrangements, and Accenture's comprehensive parental leave and child care policies also were highlighted. Most noteworthy was the paternity/parental leave policy that provides one week of paid time off to new dads and domestic partners.
- The Microsoft Global Enterprise Services and Technology Partner of the Year (2004): Microsoft's worldwide partner management leaders selected Accenture as 2004's winner. The Special Recognition Award is given to the global services partner that has demonstrated leadership in developing and delivering enterprise-class solutions based on the Microsoft platform. A global alliance partner since 2000, Accenture has developed a comprehensive portfolio of solutions that take advantage of the latest Microsoft technologies to help businesses and government organizations worldwide improve how they operate and serve customers.
- Forbes Global "A-list" (2004): Accenture was named to the Forbes Global "A-list" of the 400 best large corporations in the world. Accenture is the only company in the IT services category to have made the list—including IBM.
- Accenture ranked No. 28 on Barron's 500 (2004): Financial publication Barron's lists Accenture 28th in its list of the Barron's 500, which grades how well the 500 biggest publicly-traded US and Canadian companies (measured by sales) have performed for investors. Accenture increased its ranking on the 2004 Barron's 500 list—up to No. 28 from No. 284 the previous year. In all, the exercise aims to identify how well a company's management worked its assets to generate real cash returns.
- Deputy CTO Awards from BEA (2004): BEA has named 12 Accenture architects as BEA Deputy Chief Technology Officers (CTOs). BEA—Accenture's strategic J2EE alliance—awarded the title due to these individuals' contributions to BEA's success in the marketplace and to the growth of the Accenture-BEA alliance. The BEA leadership team noted the honorees' deep understanding of the BEA platform, their ability to drive consulting sales on the BEA platform and their vision for applying BEA infrastructure technology to client business challenges.
- Microsoft Managing Director's Award (2004): Accenture in South Africa was honored with the Managing Director's Award at the Microsoft South African Partner Summit. Accenture was recognized with the award for its significant investment in Microsoft technologies and for the successful delivery of a number of projects on Microsoft platforms.
- Business Week ranked Accenture ninth in top 100 IT companies (2004): Business Week ranked Accenture No. 9 on its Info Tech 100 list—up 27 places from 2003. This marked the second consecutive year Accenture made the list. The list is compiled using financial data on 10,000 publicly traded companies, provided by Standard & Poor's. Companies are divided into eight industry categories and are measured according to four criteria: revenue growth, shareholder return, return on equity (given equal weight) and total revenues (given 1.5 times the weight of the other three criteria).
- CRM Magazine names Accenture Market Leader (2004): CRM Magazine named Accenture the customer relationship management consulting market leader for the second consecutive year. The ranking comes in recognition of the company's superior performance and continued growth in customer relationship management-related revenues.
- Outlook cited as "Best of the Web" (2004): Wellesley, Massachusetts-based Babson College named the online version of Outlook, Accenture's journal of high-performance business, to its "Best of The Web: Favorite Business and Life-Style Web Sites" list for winter 2004. According to the citation, in the category of Commentaries, Analysis and Research on New Business Trends & Strategies category, "Accenture puts all its experience to work in creating interesting articles for this e-magazine aimed at business decision-makers."
- Catalyst Award (2003): Accenture won the Catalyst Award in 2003 for innovative programs to help women advance in the workplace. Catalyst is an international nonprofit organization that works to advance women in business. Each year it awards three companies that provide innovative approaches to recruiting, developing and advancing women in business.
