The Accenture SAS Analytics Group was formed to address predictive analytics, the next generation of management science. Predictive analytics is for senior executives who want to gain actionable insights from their data, make better decisions and improve their business outcomes. The Accenture SAS Analytics Group will jointly build, market, sell, deliver and manage predictive analytics software solutions and services, a first for both companies. Our two companies are investing together in the development of solutions focused on industry-specific predictive analytics applications, starting with the financial services, health care and public service sectors; as well as cross-industry solutions in the customer and enterprise management domains. In addition to delivering these offerings as traditional services, we plan to introduce a new business model for delivering sophisticated analytical capabilities as a managed service. Initially, the Accenture SAS Analytics Group plans focus on the following industry analytics solutions: - Financial Services: Banking (for example, credit risk and fraud) and Insurance, e.g. as predictive claims processing).
- Health Care Analytics: Payer/provider (claims and care management) and pharmaceuticals (clinical data management analytics).
- Public Service: Federal (for example, cyber security) and human services/revenue (for example, fraud/waste/error analytics).
New cross-industry functional solutions are planned for: - Customer acquisition and retention
- Enterprise analytics
