Accenture recently announced the opening of an R&D Lab in Bangalore, India. Accenture Technology Labs India will focus on systems integration and software engineering R&D, with a focus on reducing the cost and improving the quality of technology solution delivery.
In Bangalore, our research team will be able to interact directly with the teams responsible for some of Accenture's largest and most complex systems integration projects. This will provide a rich environment for understanding real-world problems in software engineering and for testing new tools, techniques and architectures.
Choosing India as the location for its fourth R&D lab was a strategic decision, according to Dr. Lin Chase, director of Accenture Technology Labs India. "India is rapidly becoming a global hub for technology R&D and software engineering," she said. "Some of the best researchers and developers in the world are based here and Accenture wants to tap into this wealth of talent to build on our research culture. We plan to hire India's top talent to build assets that will fuel high performance for our clients over the next two to five years." The Labs' innovations will be piloted directly with delivery teams located in Bangalore and then rolled out to Accenture Delivery Centers that serve clients globally. The R&D team there is expected to grow to more than 100 researchers and developers. Learn more about our recent projects. Research Group Development Group |
