- “Be forward leading…have an agenda…ask the questions…”
– Torie Clarke, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs
- “Be aware that strategy can only work to a certain degree.”
– Deborah Taylor Tate, Commissioner, Federal Communications Commission
- “Strike a balance between how much you listen and how much you talk.”
– Martha Tuthill, COO, Communications & High Tech, Accenture

April 08, 2008 04:45 PM CST  | Given that so much of the workforce is made up of contractors I wondered if there was any discussion around how women can make the leap from contractor to employee so that they have an opportunity to advance in their chosen profession. |

Not only do you gain different perspectives from an external network, you always have a support network even if you change companies. |

April 08, 2008 12:33 PM CST  | I found it interesting when Maggie Miller said she believed that women had more choices than men. Men are rarely allowed to turn down positions in their companies without it impacting their careers negatively. |
