Accenture captured the top spot and has been ranked No.1 on the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) Global Outsourcing 100 list, marking the second consecutive year that Accenture has topped this ranking of the world’s best outsourcing providers.
The Global Outsourcing 100, which includes both "Leaders" (companies with $60 million or more in annual sales) and Rising Stars, employs a ranking system that mimics the qualifying process companies use to select vendors. To make the list, companies are rated according to 18 criteria, with final rankings determined by a weighted average of judges’ scores on size and growth rate, customer references, documented competencies and management capabilities. “Companies around the world use IAOP's Global Outsourcing 100 to make smarter buying decisions,” said Michael Corbett, IAOP chairman. “We're proud of the program and very appreciative of all the great companies that put so much effort into the application and evaluation process. Accenture's No.1 ranking is a testament not only to its outsourcing capabilities but to the way it brings leadership and a commitment to excellence to everything it does.” Kevin Campbell, Accenture’s group chief executive–Outsourcing, said, “Accenture is extremely honored to be recognized once again by the IAOP as the best outsourcing provider in the world. This ranking is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the 85,000 Accenture men and women around the world who provide outsourcing services that can help our clients improve their business performance, create new business value and innovate to stay ahead of the marketplace.” Besides placing first in the Leaders category, Accenture’s management capabilities were highlighted as its key strength. Accenture received honors in a variety of sub-categories as well, ranking in the top 10 leaders in overall revenue; in the Best 10 leaders in number of employees; and in the top 10 leaders in services offered in human resources and financial management. Additionally, it placed in the top 20 by industry focus for information and communications, telecommunications, as well as retail and consumer goods. “Once again, this year’s outsourcing companies showed impressive growth, particularly considering the economy,” said Jagdish Dalal, Certified Outsourcing Professional, IAOP’s managing director, thought leadership, who led the judges’ panel. “The results show that the outsourcing industry is robust and growing.” “This is a huge achievement and the direct result of the outstanding efforts and contributions of our entire Outsourcing team,” noted Kevin Campbell.
