Hi fellow bloggers, we have almost finished our Christmas shopping. With the twins it has almost all been online. Wow, that is easy. Might start being a new holiday tradition.

Thank you for the comments (I will get to them below). I also received several responses about who I specifically recruit for. As you may have read in my bio, I am the Service Delivery lead for Accenture Technology Solutions; Accenture Technology Solutions is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture. We partner with Accenture's network of consulting and services experts to develop, implement and maintain leading-edge technologies for Accenture clients. I am still asked what Accenture means, the word Accenture quite simply is derived from “Accent on the Future.”

The folks my team specifically recruit for can be junior developers and designers with their eyes focused on a future of specialization and technical expertise. They can also be Senior Systems Analysts in the areas of Oracle, ERP, Java, .Net, or testing. Some of whom are natural mentors, developing into leaders. Some are on the way to Technical Guru Status. They like the opportunity to work on different projects, they like the change, the challenge, the dynamic environment of Accenture Technology Solutions.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions/comments. I really do enjoy receiving them

BP –thanks for the note. All of our recruiting/HR openings are listed here. https://hrservices.accenture.com/careers Please apply to any that are of interest.

Bill – To be honest, I really don’t know much about our marketing department. I would suggest applying for a role at careers.accenture.com and marking yourself as alumni. One of our recruiters can then contact you and answer all of your questions.

Andrew –I didn’t want to give you a canned response, so I asked a few people what they enjoy about Accenture. It really fell into 3 categories. 1) Best people – everyday they work with extremely smart, dedicated, driven professionals with diverse professional and personal backgrounds. 2) Best clients –we work with virtually every industry leader and nearly all Fortune 100 companies. The ability to grow your career within several different markets or to specialize in one industry group is boundless. 3) World class training – I would guess there isn’t another company in the world that focuses more resources on training than Accenture. Whether it is at our St. Charles, IL campus, with our internal Accenture Learning group, or partnering with a vendor (Microsoft), the options are endless. I hope this helps!

Moray –thanks for the note.

Chris, Would appreciate your insight. I am transferring to Bloomington, Illinois with my wife who works for State Farm. I have 17 years of insurance, banking, project management, sales and marketing experience. I have applied for two business analyst positions and would appreciate any advice for someone who is not a "newbie" to the corporate world. Thanks!

Even though I am not a newly recent graduate, I graduated 4 years ago and worked in corporate America for oover 2 years. I recently applied for an entry-level position of consulting analyst. Will it hinder my chances to be contacted for an interview? Are there steps that I can take to overcome the "entry-level" prerequisite? I understand the strong growth potential for my career with your company and would appreciate any help.
