JSB - That is a great question and I failed to add this on my last post. I would work with your recruiter and see if you can move up your start date. If not, they may have some good ideas for you.

Hi! I just finished reading the blog here (and the Analysts' blog also) and had a question I haven't been able to find the answer to. Granted, it is specific, but if you never ask you never know. I have some foreign language skills and would like to develop them further. Is it possible to be placed internationally (either long-term or on a more temporary basis) without a fluent local language level, or would this nearly always be a prerequisite for international postings? Two examples come to mind: Argentina (where Spanish is both the local and common business language) and India (where English is commonly used for business but is not actually the primary tongue of the majority of the population). Or instead, perhaps personnel assigned to US offices are NOT posted to international positions at all, and such persons would need to apply at the international nation's local Accenture office for an opportunity to work there? I'm not quite sure how this all might work from a staffing standpoint, and I am slightly confused if personnel-swapping between offices in this manner (even if temporary) is commonplace or even allowable or not? Thank you!
