Rolling Off

“Roll off” is a very common term in the consulting world and I’m busy preparing for my next one. Next Friday, I will finish up my six-month stint with Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP) in Delhi, India. In addition to packing up my belongings and moving back to the Washington, DC area, I also have to wrap up my projects and ensure there is proper handover to the next resource.

Now that my roll off date is quickly approaching, it is my responsibility to finish up my work and ensure that there is a smooth transition to my replacement. But unfortunately, there isn’t anyone replacing me on my current project. In my current assignment, ADP resources are provided to lead the project through the pilot initiation, planning and execution phases. Once the pilots have launched, it’s up to my client organization and its partners in India to make certain the projects are completed successfully.
