All Change Again
| Posted at Apr. 03, 2007 08:05 AM CST | | | Well, things certainly don’t hang around here! | | | I started the project last week, but it fairly soon transpired that I simply did not have the skills that were required. I have a non-technical background, and was brought in to add some non-technical expertise to the Business Continuity Management domain, and this project needed someone that had at least a vague idea as to technical architecture. So I lasted all of four days! Still, it was reassuring to know that I could come off the project rather than struggling through trying to do something that I did not fully understand. | | | I have spent the last week working on some of the proposals for the further development of the Business Continuity practice, and also collating credentials for a couple of Requests For Information (RFIs). These are regarding the wider Security dimension, so have been interesting as I have been able to see the scope of the work that we have been doing, and the wide geographies that we have work in. | | | I have also been doing a couple of proposals of my own, one doing an as-is business continuity assessment, and the other assisting with a Business Continuity programme roll-out; we had the client meeting yesterday, so today has been mad busy creating proposal letters, collating credentials and checking pricing so that we can get the bid in promptly. | | | I think tomorrow will be more of the same, particularly collating the information for the RFI, and then I have a long weekend (three day weeks are always good), as I am off to tackle Cader Idris….well, it’s something to do on an Easter weekend, and I have to burn off my Easter Egg somehow! | | | Have a good Easter, and back soon. | | | | Comment on this post |
