 
Mark Foster is Accenture's group chief executive—Global Markets and Management Consulting, with overall responsibility for driving and enabling the growth, differentiation and innovation agenda of Accenture. In this role, he has oversight of all Accenture industry programs and responsibility for bringing innovation to clients through a unique blend of business capabilities across the company’s three growth platforms of Management Consulting, Technology and Business Process Outsourcing. Additionally, he is responsible for the development of the company's management consulting capabilities across six service lines: Customer Relationship Management; Finance & Performance Management; Process & Innovation Performance; Talent & Organization Performance; Strategy; and Supply Chain Management. Mr. Foster chairs the Accenture Global Markets Council and is also a member of Accenture's Executive Leadership Team. Previously, Mr. Foster had been group chief executive of Accenture's Products operating group, a role he held from 2002 through 2006. Prior to that he served in other leadership roles across the Products group, including managing partner of the Products-Europe operating unit; global managing partner for the company's Automotive, Industrial and Travel & Transportation industry groups; and head of the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products group in Europe. Mr. Foster leads Accenture's involvement with the World Economic Forum. In this capacity he serves as chairman of the Global Health Advisory Board, which oversees the Forum’s health related activities. In addition, Mr. Foster is on the board of directors of the Royal Shakespeare Company and holds the position of vice chairman of the board of the International Business Leaders Forum, which supports business development in the developing world. Mr. Foster joined Accenture in 1983 and became a partner in 1994. He holds a degree in classics from Oxford University. |
