WRA 7th Global Petrochemicals Conference
February 9-11, Vienna, Austria

The theme of this year’s conference is yet to be determined, but Frank Rennekamp, Managing Partner Accenture Chemicals ASG will be giving a presentation on “Forward integration - the role derivatives and speciality chemicals can play to differentiate yourself from the competition.”

The presentation will look at:

• Opportunities for producers in downstream chemicals markets. Ways to optimize your operations and stay ahead of the competition.
  
  
• Would diversification into derivatives and specialty chemicals ensure the way forward for the petrochemical industry?
  
  
• What is the possibility of performance materials replacing the traditional polymers and what conditions will this create for the producers.

EPCA Annual Meeting 2009
October 3-7, 2009, Berlin, Germany

This large annual European chemicals convention brought together industry leaders to discuss key topics. More than 2,000 senior executives attended the convention on the theme "Turbulent Times for Chemicals: Coping with Challenges through Sustainable Development." Accenture attended the full conference and hosted a dinner.

This year's meeting featured a panel of leading chemical company CEOs, Accenture and industry specialists discussing sustainability.

Logichem 2009: The 8th Annual European Chemical Supply Chain Conference
April 1 -2 2009, Düsseldorf, Germany

Accenture was proud to continue to sponsor and manage the LogiChem survey on Performance Indicators for the Supply Chain of High Performing Chemical Companies for the annual LogiChem Europe conference.

"The only European chemical supply chain conference worth attending”—Joe Przeworski, Global Supply Chain director, Ineos ChlorVinyls.

LogiChem is the chemical industry's annual supply chain management conference, each year attracting over 200 senior logistics and supply chain executives from bulk and specialty chemical manufacturers. It is the only event that brings together all the key suppliers and logistics practitioners in Europe.

Theo Jan Simons, Global Chemicals lead, Accenture, presented the results from the survey on April 15, 2009.

Cefic Global Chemical Industry European Convention 2008

Cefic is a key annual event for chemicals executives. Accenture was pleased to once again host a dinner during Cefic for clients and Cefic members.

American Chemistry Council's (ACC) Annual Meeting
June 4–5, 2008, Palm Desert, California, USA

Accenture was pleased, for the eighth consecutive year, being the primary sponsor of the American Chemistry Council (ACC) Annual Membership Meeting, June 4-5, 2008. As the sole sponsor of ACC's Thursday afternoon Plenary Session, Accenture delivered a presentation titled "Winning the War for Talent." We discussed the principles of continuous optimization of talent in order for chemical companies to stay ahead of the competition.

VCI and SAP Congress 2007
November 26–27, 2007, Frankfurt, Germany

Accenture was pleased to support the German Chemical Industry Association and SAP in presenting the European Conference for the Process Industry. Conference presentations discussed new ways IT can help companies to create value within specific business areas. Accenture hosted a session to discuss "Implementing a Centralized Planning Solution for Greater Transparency in the Supply Chain."

Spezialchemie 2007
November 5–6, 2007, Düsseldorf, Germany

Spezialchemie was intended to facilitate discussions on innovations and trends among specialty chemicals industry executives. Accenture was a sponsor of the proceedings. Dr. Marcus Hübel, Accenture Chemicals & Natural Resources Lead–Greater China, gave a presentation titled "Expected Tendencies in Asia: Innovation in China." In addition, Sandor Zuurendonk, International QA manager, H&BC Group Sara Lee, discussed "Rising to the challenge of REACH–Key Components of a successful REACH Implementation."

ERTC Petrochemical Conference
October 15-17, 2007, Brussels, Belgium

The ERTC Petrochemical Conference Europe's premier technology event, is dedicated to providing a forum where global industry executives can discuss key issues. Technical presentations were delivered by leading experts focused on new products, applications and industry-specific issues. Accenture again hosted a presentation: "Shifting Manufacturing & Petrochemicals Investment Patterns: A New Competitive Order" given by Global Chemicals Industry Lead Eric Chapman.

American Chemistry Council (ACC) Annual Greenbrier Membership Meeting
June 6-7, 2007, White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia

Accenture returned as a primary sponsor of the 2007 ACC Annual Greenbrier Membership Meeting. As part of the opening session, Chemicals Industry Senior Executive John Aalbregtse presented "Insight to Action: Changing Ahead of the Curve." Accenture was pleased to sponsor the proceedings as well as again hosting our own private client golf and dinner events.
