Accenture is working with the United Kingdom’s Ministry of Justice on a project known as LIBRA. The project aims to modernize the UK magistrate’s courts by replacing numerous local legacy systems with a new centrally-hosted Web-based case management system.
The new system will be a key enabler for the introduction of standardized processes across all magistrates’ courts in England and Wales. It will also provide the opportunity for more effective management of cases within the Ministry of Justice and enable information to be shared with other criminal justice organizations such as the Police and the Crown Prosecution Service.
