Accenture United Kingdom and Ireland Climate Change Position Statement

Understanding our environmental impact and making a commitment to take positive action is an essential aspect of our business operations. Accenture United Kingdom and Ireland believes that climate change poses a real and serious threat to our business, our people and the communities where we operate. As a result, Accenture United Kingdom and Ireland:

• Acknowledges that all organisations in every sector contribute to the problem of climate change and commits to taking action in response to its own impact.
  
  
• Recognises that through the services we offer in our role as a consulting, technology and outsourcing company, we have a significant opportunity to help our clients find innovative ways to reduce their environmental impacts and those of their customers.
  
  
• Commits to implementing actions to cut our carbon emissions from business travel and office energy use, with the aim of reducing our CO2 emissions by 30% by 2020.
  
  
• Are working to create an environment where all employees think and behave in an environmentally positive way.
  
  
• Incentivises suppliers to make tangible reductions in their carbon emissions through procurement processes which include managing carbon performance.

We believe that these steps are vital to achieving our own vision of bringing innovations to improve the way the world works and lives.
