Jeremy Oates joined the firm in 1990 having previously worked for IBM and became a partner in 1999. He has spent his career in both the public service and financial services sectors, driving major programmes of technology-enabled change for some of Accenture’s largest clients including the DSS, NHS, London Stock Exchange, JP Morgan and Ministry of Justice.
While most of Jeremy’s career has been spent in the UK, he has also spent time working with clients in New York, Frankfurt and Luxembourg.
Jeremy is chair of the Public Sector Council of the trade association Intellect and co-chair of the Strategic Supplier Board which brings together government CIOs and the leading suppliers of IT services to government.
Commenting on what he most enjoys about his role, Jeremy says: “The variety is the most appealing thing about the role. My diary is never the same from one day to the next and I spend a great deal of time not only with clients but seeking to exert some influence over the officials supporting our clients. "I also enjoy dealing with the people we have within the Client Service Group and within our project teams, which helps me to keep abreast of what is happening ‘on the ground’ and the myriad ways in which we make a difference to our clients. “ |
