Accenture worked closely with SAP to develop the new SAP Chemicals Best Practice Template, a preconfigured SAP system for the chemicals industry. This new version, which became available in June 2004, is designed for chemical company subsidiaries and mid-tier chemical companies that are looking for an efficient ERP solution based upon proven industry best practice processes. It allows for accelerated implementations and helps guarantee ongoing lowest total cost of ownership and upward compatibility. In addition to the standard solution, Accenture has further enhanced the SAP Chemicals Best Practice Template by bundling critical knowledge and added features, including a Unicode feature that provides IT systems with enough space to code all Asian languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean. Based upon this functionality, Accenture is the first consultancy to implement this template in Asia using a delivery team in our Dalian Delivery Center. Supply Chain Optimisation
