The Accenture (SA) Foundation has launched an exciting new initiative this year. The Foundation Board has set aside part of its budget to provide MATCHING funds in support of Corporate Citizenship outreach activities organised by individual employees or groups who have set up or are involved with a specific charity, NGO or non profit organisation (NPO). The drive behind this initiative is to provide additional financial support to individuals who, or projects which, have become involved in some form of social responsibility activity. The Foundation will match the amount raised up to a maximum of R5 000. The maximum amount earmarked for each month is R5 000 and this is the maximum amount which can be awarded to any single initiative. The initiative must: - Be conducive to Accenture employees’/project involvement.
- Have visible cause and effect, i.e. demonstrable and measurable impact.
- Should not lead the supported organisation becoming dependent/reliant upon Accenture in the longer term.
If you are involved with a specific charity, NGO or NPO, and wish to seek additional funding support, the Foundation will consider applications for matching funds under the following conditions: - The charity, NGO or NPO is registered with the relevant authorities.
- Proof of money raised by the employee/project will be required.
- If the quarterly budget has been fully allocated, employees/projects may apply in the next quarter.
- Each employee/project may submit a request only once per year.
If you would like to apply to the Foundation for Matching Funds, please complete the application form and submit it to Cheryl Clark in the Corporate Citizenship Office in Johannesburg. Her contact details are as follows: Telephone: 011 208 3422 - Email: cheryl.clark@accenture.com |
