Please look out for personnel carrying “22nd CIO Workshop” signage when you exit immigration in the airport lobby and identify yourself. Conversely, complimentary group departure pick up service has been arranged from Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel to Taoyuan International Airport on May 23, 2009. If you are arriving and/ departing at a different time from the main group, you will need to arrange your own airport transfer, on your own account. Transportation to hotel Guests may arrive the hotel from airport via taxi, airport shuttle bus and hotel limousine. The travel time varies depending on the mode of transport. The transportation details are as follows: Taxi The travel time is approximately 50 minutes. However, if it is during the traffic hour, the travel time may take up to 90 minutes. The taxi fare is about NT$1,250 (about US$38). Air Bus Busses depart every 20 minutes. The Air Bus travel time is approximately 1 hour 10 minutes, and fare is NT$145 (about US$4.5). Right outside of the Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, by the Tun Hwa South Road, an airport bus stop is just at the corner.  Local currency The New Taiwan Dollar (NT$) is the national currency. One US dollar is equivalent to about 35 NT$. One Singapore dollar is is equivalent to about 22 NT$. Money can be exchanged at foreign exchange banks and other authorized money dealers. Temperature Taiwan has a subtropical climate with warm to hot, humid summers from May to September (24C to 32C, 75F to 90F), and a cooler season from December to February (12C to 20C, 54F to 68F).
