Accenture Hosts IT Cost Reduction Breakfast Management Briefing

On Thursday, April 23, Accenture in association with Computerscope magazine, held a Breakfast Management Briefing at Dublin's Burlington Hotel. The breakfast's theme was "Rapid and Sustainable IT Cost Reduction" and it provided clients with a strategic approach to IT cost cutting. The event was attended by over 50 C-suite clients across all industries, largely CIO’s including some existing clients and some whitespace clients.

Andrew Morlet, global lead, Strategic IT Effectiveness, presented on IT cost reduction, focusing primarily on the strategic approach of "Minimise, Optimise and Redesign."

Francis O’Haire, technical director of Data Solutions, presented on virtualization technologies as a starting point from which enterprises can make significant savings through server consolidation, increased utilization and efficiency and reduced power and management.
