A conference hosted by Accenture, in association with ComputerScope magazine, this week heard that cloud computing is likely to have a growing impact on enterprise IT and business activities in many large organisations in Ireland. Paul Daugherty, Accenture's chief technology architect, urged CIOs and other business leaders to "look beyond the hype to see what opportunities and challenges lie in the cloud—and how this approach can be used to further an organisation's IT strategy to achieve real business benefits." The event was attended by CIOs from a cross-section of Irish business who heard presentations by Accenture, Google, Microsoft , Amazon and Salesforce.
