The panel discussion was held before a vibrant audience from across the Indian public and private sector banking fraternity. The discussion saw the bankers being unequivocal in acknowledging the role of Indian regulatory authorities in maintaining the country’s financial stability and security. They also shared their perspective on how banks in India could better manage, control and protect themselves from the current global financial situation. In unison, the panel believed in increasing the focus on "customer centricity" and exercising greater prudence in managing risks and cutting costs.
