Global Citizenship We encourage our people to undertake voluntary work abroad as a part of their career with Accenture. This enables them to learn more about the global community in which we operate, make positive contributions as well as to develop new and valuable skills.
See other examples of how Accenture people connect with their
national and local communities through volunteering.
Accenture Development Partnerships We have established Accenture Development Partnerships, a not-for-profit group, to provide high quality business and technology consultancy services to drive economic and social development. Accenture staff working on these projects contribute personally not only with their energy and expertise but by accepting reduced pay rates. This, with reduced overheads, enables Accenture to make its expertise available at fee rates which are affordable to those communities and organizations in developing countries that would not normally have access to our consulting capabilities.
Voluntary Service Overseas Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) is an international development charity that works through volunteers. Accenture was a founder member of the Business Partnership Scheme, which has broadened VSO's traditional volunteer base to take business people and use their skills to aid enterprise. As part of this scheme, employees go on a short-term leave of absence (3-12 months) from Accenture to volunteer within small and start-up businesses in Africa, Eastern Europe and the Far East, using their skills to make a difference.
