On May 18, Alan Thorogood and Chris Coldrick from Accenture’s Sydney office were part of the AGL team in a four-day, 700 km bike ride as part of the Gibb River Road Mountain Bike Challenge.
Along with 200 other cyclists, our small team battled the heat along the Gibb River Road from Derby to Kununurra to raise money for the Western Australia (WA) Police Legacy. The hard work paid off, with the riders and their support team enjoying the beautiful scenery throughout the Kimberley while also relishing the challenge of completing the ride and supporting a worthy cause.
Congratulations to AGL’s Rob Schwieger who was one of only four riders to finish the ride without being part of a relay, an extraordinary achievement. Thank you to all who participated in this ride, as well as the supporters on and off site, including WA Police, State Emergency Services and WA Main Roads.
